Subo & Alice Cooper
I'm on West Sound Radio 1035 AM this coming week, Mon' 30th Nov' - Fri' 4th Dec', 6.50 & 7.50 a.m'ish each morning. Here's my favourite one for Friday.

How bizzare, how bizzare! Not only has Susan Boyle taken the world by storm with her first album, breaking all records, but an admirer, the controversial Alice Cooper, has offered to write her some songs. I’d rather not try to imagine Susan Boyle adopting some of Alice Cooper’s attention seeking stage antics.

Perhaps Cooper’s just looking for some attention on the back of a new world sensation or in it for some money? After all what do the snake-head biting Alice Cooper & Britain’s Got Talent runner-up, got in common? It can’t be their image or reputations, nor their make-up. Is it that you’re never sure what either of them might say in an interview? Perhaps it’s their faith, as Alice & Susan both claim to follow Jesus Christ.

It never ceases to amaze me the odd collection of characters that God brings together in His World Kingdom; people of all shapes & sizes, from so many different backgrounds & perspectives. When I think of some of the folk I’ve met who follow Jesus it should be no surprise that the likes of Alice Cooper might want to get alongside someone like Susan Boyle.

Something Alice Cooper said about his life stunned me the other day. Asked what was the most rebellious thing he’d ever done was, he answered, “Decide to follow Jesus Christ!” he continued, “Oh, it was easy to trash a hotel room or wreck a stage-set, that was expected; the most counter cultural, rebellious thing I ever did was turn my life around to God.”

Wow! These are not the words of a woose or wimp, these are brave words. Could you ever be so rebellious?
