  <title>Alice Cooper</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1327927693/</link>
  <description>
Vincent Damon Furnier (Alice Cooper), who turns 64 on the 4th February, is one of the most famous &amp;amp; enduring rock stars of all time and still tours with his high-energy act. He &amp;amp; his band are better known as &amp;lsquo;Alice Cooper&amp;rsquo; and have wowed rock fans &amp;amp; disgusted onlookers for over four decades. His autobiography, &amp;ldquo;Alice Cooper, Golf Monster&amp;rdquo; reminded me that I shouldn&amp;rsquo;t &amp;lsquo;judge a book by its cover&amp;rsquo; or write someone off by their face.

  <description>
Presently under the soil seeds &amp;amp; bulbs are quietly sending out roots &amp;amp; shoots, soon to surface and show in spectacular Spring. Bleak, black soil, bare, barren &amp;amp; not a little boggy with winter&amp;rsquo;s wettest, will soon give way to green &amp;amp; blooming beauty. As long dark days let a little more light in each 24 hours, anticipation of a pregnant creation&amp;rsquo;s birthing of beauty grows.

  <description>
So how&amp;rsquo;s your early January determination to visit the gym more often, eat less chocolate, drink less alcohol, do less or more, be more passionate, more caring, more whatever? It&amp;rsquo;s about now that reality-checks click in and much solid New Year resolve turns to mush.

It&amp;rsquo;s been right &amp;lsquo;Windy Miller&amp;rsquo; in Scotland lately has it not!? I hope you haven&amp;rsquo;t been too adversely affected! In the attached photo we have a calmer scene at Irvine Harbour, with the scenic estuary in the foreground and wind turbines on the distant hills.

  <title>Counting For Dummies</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1325510619/</link>
  <description>
How are you at sums? Do you use a calculator or add in your head; what about &amp;lsquo;keeping a diary&amp;rsquo; &amp;amp; ordering your days? I would be lost without my wee book diary. I&amp;rsquo;d also be missing without God&amp;rsquo;s lead in counting days up right. Six days to labour &amp;amp; a seventh to chill out, enjoy with loved ones, &amp;amp; centre on God again.

  <title>Sleep In</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1324902487/</link>
  <description>
How good is it to sleep in!? Curled in a ball, nursing an &amp;lsquo;overhang&amp;rsquo; from Christmas Day feasting, it is bliss to snooze on, untroubled by &amp;lsquo;alarm clock&amp;rsquo; on St Steve&amp;rsquo;s (Boxing) Day. Christmas services, among my all time favourites, didn&amp;rsquo;t disappoint! We were able to wel-&amp;lsquo;come all ye faithful&amp;rsquo; &amp;amp; others drawn in by annual atmosphere, family tradition &amp;amp; the hope of something &amp;lsquo;more than meets the eye.&amp;rsquo;

  <title>The Shoes Brothers</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1324360296/</link>
  <description>
See the scene! Blues&amp;rsquo; Brothers&amp;rsquo; style - On opposite sides of a restless religious river stood one Roman Catholic Priest 'Father Jake' and one Protestant Minister 'Rev Neilwood'. Their "Mission from God!" (In true Blues&amp;rsquo; Brothers&amp;rsquo; style) To get their 'Good News Shoes' on, bridge gaps, break barriers and unite people in the truth that the 'Christ' of Christmas brings people together!

  <title>&ldquo;Are You Dancin&rsquo;?&rdquo;</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1323709978/</link>
  <description>
An old Scottish pickup line, &amp;ldquo;Are you dancin&amp;rsquo;?&amp;rdquo; leads to the cheeky retort, &amp;ldquo;Naw it&amp;rsquo;s the way am standin&amp;rsquo;!&amp;rdquo; We&amp;rsquo;re film shooting, &amp;lsquo;The Shoes Brothers&amp;rsquo;, a Christmas prequel to last year&amp;rsquo;s &amp;lsquo;Min In Black&amp;rsquo;. All over Irvine, Father Willie Boyd &amp;amp; myself have been bopping about involving the community in a dance to celebrate the Christ of Christmas who unites us rather than the bigotry &amp;amp; sectarianism which tears apart.

  <title>Advent, Suicide &amp; &lsquo;Help!&rsquo;</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1322521683/</link>
  <description>
What a way to celebrate the first Sunday in Advent (The Christmas season of pregnant, patient waiting &amp;amp; anticipation)! I&amp;rsquo;m not referring to Killie&amp;rsquo;s 17 year wait for a home victory over Rangers, which arrived on Sunday, rather to the youth of our church who &amp;lsquo;took over the asylum&amp;rsquo; and ran the whole morning service. Set up as a &amp;lsquo;News Broadcast&amp;rsquo; they showed great imagination &amp;amp; inspired great praise to God (check the &amp;lsquo;attachment&amp;rsquo; photo for a wee look). They set us up nicely for the 4 weeks countdown to Christmas!
