  <title>Jesus &amp; Vegemite</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1283771818/</link>
  <description>
So, would he or wouldn&amp;rsquo;t he? Would Jesus like Vegemite (a bitter, tart tasting sandwich paste from Australia) were he to visit us in the flesh today? For those who&amp;rsquo;ve not tried it, imagine something much sharper than Marmite, &amp;amp; if you&amp;rsquo;ve never tasted Marmite, think on a smooth, dark brown spread from yeast extract that tastes like black salt. To my palate &amp;ldquo;disgusterous!&amp;rdquo; but to my visiting Aussie pal, Paul Cameron (see attached photo), pure nectar!

  <title>Emotional Intelligence</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1283192690/</link>
  <description>
Back from a game of golf or football, my wife has low expectations from what the lads and I talked about, for usually it&amp;rsquo;s fairly superficial stuff. Sometimes it gets deeper than what we&amp;rsquo;ve been doing or heard lately, and just having a laugh.

  <title>Bad Weather Timing</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1279721436/</link>
  <description>
&amp;ldquo;It&amp;rsquo;s all about timing, isn&amp;rsquo;t it!&amp;rdquo; A friend and his family are tenting right now and, in the face of torrential rain, about to use their kayak &amp;amp; dinghy for beds; perhaps in the right place at the wrong time? At &amp;lsquo;T-In The Park&amp;rsquo; (music festival) other friends pitched their tent in, what they thought was an out-of-the-way, safe spot, only to become surrounded by constant drunken parties &amp;amp; fights; they left their tent for a short while and returned to it ransacked and robbed; right time, wrong place? Just last week, due to my delay in booking flights for a last minute week in the sun I ended up paying &amp;pound;300 more thank quoted before when prices shot up overnight. Again bad timing me thinks! However, on Sunday evening we had a BBQ Service in the Fullarton Church garden rain-free, the sun even shone for a spell, sensational! Right place, right time!!

  <title>Pre-Season Training</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1279051487/</link>
  <description>
After pre-season training at Killie last week I&amp;rsquo;ve been feeling my full 48 years and more! I did my best to keep up with the running pace and managed to give some of the unfit stragglers a fright or two, breathing down their necks. I took the week off to spend time with the new crew in charge of Killie&amp;rsquo;s small, but hopefully growing, squad, as they up fitness levels and focus on a new season in the SPL. Both Mixu &amp;amp; Kenny (manager &amp;amp; assistant manager) are great blokes with new life, fresh ideas and a clear view of what they want out of the players. It&amp;rsquo;ll be another hard season but I have every confidence in them to do well!

  <title>Racism agin England </title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1277895901/</link>
  <description>
While attempting to overcome my &amp;lsquo;well buried racism&amp;rsquo; against the England soccer side and English commentators who can&amp;rsquo;t go minutes without going all nostalgic about 1966 (when they won the World Cup), I have found myself, all too easily, delighting in the abject failure of others. Mind you, how unbearable would us Scots be if (please God!) we should ever win the World Cup!? lol

  <title>My Latest Addiction</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1277138986/</link>
  <description>
My latest addiction is &amp;lsquo;Facebook&amp;rsquo; (FB). It has put me in touch with folk I haven&amp;rsquo;t heard from for yonks. In Edinburgh for the General Assembly I met up with 3 different folk I hadn&amp;rsquo;t seen previpously for a total of 65 years! I&amp;rsquo;ve enjoyed the craic &amp;amp; chat with friends in Scotland, N Ireland, Eire, Switzerland, France, Germany, Africa, USA, Canada, Oz &amp;amp; NZ, to name a few. I&amp;rsquo;ve mentioned things that I needed &amp;amp; friends have been quick to offer help or ideas. I&amp;rsquo;ve kept abreast with my daughter&amp;rsquo;s Aberdeen adventure more easily &amp;amp; enjoyed seeing friends&amp;rsquo; photos &amp;amp; videos. I&amp;rsquo;ve had live pastoral conversations with folk &amp;amp; been alerted to friends who are struggling. I&amp;rsquo;ve followed suggested links to interesting &amp;amp; hilarious clips / info&amp;rsquo; &amp;amp; been more able to let friends plug into my own blog, if in the mood for some &amp;lsquo;Turkey Gobbledigook&amp;rdquo;. I&amp;rsquo;m a strong Believer!

  <title>Vuvuzela Voodoo?</title>
  <link>http://www.fullartonchurch.co.uk/st/news/neilblog/m/1276633601/</link>
  <description>
As millions of Vuvuzelas head for our shores to add yet more decibels of noise to our world, did you know that the Vuvuzela is played in &amp;lsquo;B Flat&amp;rsquo;!? Is it too much to ask for a variety of Vuvuzela notes, or is that to tempt even greater disturbance? Certainly the message has got through to the football, which is well FLAT!

  <description>
Home!!! After a week in Edinburgh at the General Assembly it&amp;rsquo;s great to get back to home &amp;amp; family! It was good catching up with friends &amp;amp; some of the business of the Assembly was interesting, in fact &amp;lsquo;RADICAL&amp;rsquo;! The question now is, &amp;ldquo;Can we play a good game as well as talk a good game!?&amp;rdquo;
