Pastoral care team
The pastoral care team provides the following services:
- Tape ministry: For members of the congregation who are unable to attend Sunday service, a tape of the service is delivered on a Monday morning.
- Cards: Birthday cards are sent to members 80 years and over. Thinking of you and get well cards are also sent when appropriate.
- Flowers: Are sent to the sick, bereaved and also on special birthdays.
- Hospital chapel: Once a month the pastoral care team takes wheelchair-bound patients in Crosshouse hospital to the service at the chapel hospital.
- Visitation: The team visits hospitals, nursing homes and the housebound and keeps in touch with the sick when they return home after a spell in hospital.
- Home Communion services: Twice a year the team organises a communion service in the church hall to allow those who are housebound to share communion.
- Contemplative Service: This is a short service held in December for people who find Christmas difficult or hard to handle for whatever reason.
If you require more information or feel that you could benefit from any of these services please contact Evelyn Robertson on 01294 272576.
