GROUPS: Action Group

The Action Group began in 1957 and took as it's aim; "the providing of practical Christian help and fellowship to the elderly of the Church and parish".

 Over the years the practicalities have changed but the aim remains the same. The Groups activities are three-fold:-

 1) Liason with Pastoral Care Team.

 2) Weekly distribution of home baking.

3) Providing dinner and entertainment in the Church hall on five occasions over the winter session and providing transport where necessary.

The groups activities depend on a willing band of helpers who give there services voluntarily and who undertake to raise the finances to carry out their programme of Christian action.
