Fullarton Parish Church

Groups: Music

We're delighted to have Gordon Whyte acting as interim musical director.
Along with his wife Susan (vocals) & son Ciaran (percusion) Gordon has been enriching our praise since mid-January.
The Whytes are helping us encourage & develop our musical ministries at Fullarton.
They're with us till the end of June, after which we'll have to see what God has planned!

Message from Gordon:
"We are excited to be able to come to Fullarton and participate in the music ministry of the church. There are clearly a number of gifted musicians and singers within the congregation, and look forward to using these gifts to give glory to God in our worship together. The role of musicians in a church service is to be able to lead all God's people in their expressions of worship, and especially to lift their voices in praise and adoration of God, our Creator and Redeemer. It is such a joy to hear the congregation sing together with power and conviction - indeed, when a musician can stop playing and the beauty of the choir of saints (that's all of you!) rings out loud and clear, then his role has been fulfilled!
It is also important to recognise that the music ministry at Fullarton includes those whose gifts are employed outside of Sunday services - those who work with the children in their classes on a Sunday morning, those who play in schools or residential homes and allow God's people to be touched by His love and mercy. It also includes those who operate the sound desk and the projector. Remember these people in your prayers, and encourage them if and when possible.
Susan, Ciaran and I have been blessed by your encouragement and support, and it is a privilege to share in the life of your fellowship and in the individual faith journeys in which we have now become entwined."
