The YAC Project is a youth community project in Fullarton, Irvine.
The project began in small ways, building trust with the young people, parents, community members and the local schools. Today it offers a Friday night Youth Cafe, Rock Solid group, a youth home group, filmmaking, sports, camps, street-work projects summer missions and future outdoor pursuits.
Most importantly, it has become a place where the young people feel at home and want to be.
YAC aims to increase young people's self-esteem, worth and self-knowledge by giving them opportunities to express themselves in creative ways, space and time to explore their gifts and interests, from music and visual arts to faith and an awareness of their place in THEIR community. By giving them a voice it encourages active citizenship and community involvement.
